Kyle's Preschool Graduation & House Hunting

Last month Kyle graduated from Pre-K which means he's now officially a Kindergartner! My baby is going to elementary school in August. (August 24th, on our wedding anniversary actually!) The graduation was very cute. Each kid walked across "the stage" and got their certificate from their teacher. Afterward the kids sang "John 3:16" and some other songs. Of course I got teary eyed, being pregnant and chalk full of hormones sure didn't help! LOL

The past week we have been house hunting and that is a crazy, scary, yet exciting process. For a few nights we lost sleep due to anticipation and wondering "what's next?" We made an offer on a foreclosed house...the house needed some cosmetic work, but the kitchen was completely done and the yard had a glorious pool with a large patio area, which would have been awesome for summer BBQs. We made a full price offer that evening, but never heard back. The house was way under-priced so I imagine we didn't make a high enough offer.

The second house we made an offer we actually heard back! We countered the seller's counter yesterday and are currently waiting for that important phone call. This house is an adorable little 2 story home less than 2 miles from Steve's work on a cul-de-sac. The house is move in ready although we'd like to paint before we move in IF we get the house.

Waiting stinks, but it's humbling at the same time.

Tomorrow thru Thursday Kyle will be attending VBX (Vacation Bible eXtreme) at our church, and I'll be leading a group of eleven 2nd graders. This week we'll be learning Bible stories, playing games, making crafts, and playing on bounce houses and inflatable slides. Well Kyle will, I can't since I'm kinda far along now! It will still be fun to watch the kids have a blast.

This week will be crazy! I'll come back and update once we have found our house. :-)
