Things are going great!

I suck at making time to post on our family blog. I think I'll try for one entry a month like my good friend Heather, who has done a beautiful job on her blog.

Life is good. Zach is 10 months now, which is INSANE. I can't believe his first birthday is around the corner. Our little Z can fully crawl, pull himself up to stand, give BIG smiles and belly laughs. He has a very sweet personality which we thank God for.

Kyle is doing awesome. He just completed his first week of first grade, at home, which he did very well! Kyle worked hard, especially on his handwriting so he is very proud of himself. Of course Steve and I are too! In a couple of weeks we'll attend our first homeschool group park day and then we'll be able to sign up for co-op classes, field trips, and "class" holiday parties. The first year of homeschooling will be challenging, but I think the both of us are going to have a lot of fun too!

A couple of weeks ago we returned from our week long vacation to Washington and Oregon. Both of our kids are really awesome travelers! Zach did exceptionally well on the plane and Kyle really liked being on the air plane for his first time. On our vacation we were able to see my Aunt Christie who lives outside of Tacoma, my Grandma who lives on the Washington coast, some old friends, and Steve's side of the family. It was awesome to see them, especially our nieces and nephew!

We spent 2 nights with my Grandma near Long Beach, and then spent one night in Portland. There we got to go to Voo-Doo Doughnut and Multnomah Falls. After that we spent 4 nights and almost 5 days up in the Seattle area. We had fun taking the boys to Pike Place Market, Seattle Aquarium and the Space Needle. It was so good to visit there and show Kyle where our family's story began. We really loved seeing Steve's side of the family and wished we could of stayed longer. A week is not long enough to do and see everyone we wanted to!

I'll be better about posting, but most of you that read this just saw us anyways so I don't feel too bad. ;-)
