Mallory Mae

Even though our Mallie-Bug has been here for 4 months, this birth story post is better late than never! Right?! :)

Mallory Mae was born on May 2nd at 11:52 am weighing 8 lbs. 3 oz and she was 20 in. long. She has a very sweet, happy, and laid back personality. Mallory has been like this since birth!

Deciding on her name was quite the challenge. She didn't look like a Lily Anne. She also did not look like a Lucy. She kind of looked like an Emily and a Mallory. So for 24 hours we were stuck between Emily Mae and Mallory Mae. We were also bouncing off other ideas to see if some other name we had not considered before would magically fit, but nothing ever did.

I was afraid to make such a big decision while being heavily medicated from the C-Section. On the night of the 2nd, I was pretty sure she was going to be Emily and I woke up the next morning deciding I was STILL undecided! We tried calling her Emily and Mallory, then once I said "Mallie Mae", Steve and I instantly knew that was it.

Mallory is a very healthy, happy and chatty little girl. She loves to talk to me, Steve and especially her rowdy big brothers who also provide a great deal of entertainment for her! We are beyond blessed to have her complete our family.
