Christmas

Santa left Kyle his first pair of boxers in his stocking! He was really more excited than he looks in the pic.

Our family had a great Christmas, even though poor Kyle was sick with a bad cold and double ear infection on Christmas Eve and Christmas day.

This is the first time I have ever made monkey bread, and it was a hit! Steve and Kyle loved it so much, it will be our new Christmas morning tradition. Kyle spilled cocoa all over his brand new PJ's at breakfast, so he was sad he had to change into a tee-shirt and shorts.

Kyle of course made out like a bandit when he opened his presents. Santa brought him a robot, Moon Sand and the new Hot Wheels T-Rex Rampage track. He also got a lot of army action figures and accessories, a v.smile pocket hand held game system from Grandma and Grandpa in Seattle, Geo-Trax Air from Grandma and Papa (my parents), some great books, Lego's and other things I cannot think of right now. I was happy he forgot how awful he felt that day!

Steve was very very happy to have gotten the Fossil watch he's been drooling over the past couple of months...it was nice to spoil him! Especially since he works very hard for our family and is such an amazing father and husband.

Christmas Day, we went to my parents house to open presents and to have dinner. It was nice spending the day with my family although it was strange not having my brother there, who moved in with his lovely girlfriend Natalie to her hometown in Ohio back in September. We sure missed him!

Kyle is now feeling much better and is over his ear infections. This week we've been walking to the neighborhood park a lot since the weather has been beautiful and to make up for being stuck inside over a week because of bad weather and illnesses.

Today Kyle is going to his friend Logan's birthday party and on Tuesday it's back to preschool. I am looking forward to get back to normal routines.

Have a very happy 2009!!!

Not to be picky... but those boxers look like they might fit Steve.

Kyle is a big kid...he is 46 inches tall and weighs 45 lbs (he is taller than some of his 6 year old friends!), so I have to buy his underoos a size larger (he wears a 6, but I buy size 8) because they always shrink after going through the wash.
